The Lord of the Rings Amazon series premiere date has been revealed as September 2, 2022, to the delight of fans across the world.
Filming was completed on the first season of the show August 2 in New Zealand, with Amazon releasing the first official image from the series to coincide with the milestone.
“On September 2, 2022, a new journey begins,” the show’s Facebook page stated, with fans left wondering what the journey will entail.
Little has been revealed of the plot to date, including the show’s official title, but it is known that it will take place during the “Second Age”, thousands of years prior to the events portrayed in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
