Augustinian retreat centre to be sold

The popular Augustinian retreat centre, Orlagh, in Dublin is to be sold.

The Augustinians have been on the site since 1872 when they acquired the property for use as the novitiate for those who wished to join their ranks.

For more than a decade, however, Orlagh has been a retreat centre offering a programme of scripture courses, retreats, training and support for parish groups in the Dublin archdiocese.

A message on the retreat centre’s website confirmed that Orlagh “will be put up for sale in the coming Spring”.

Until that occurs, the Augustinian community will continue to live in Orlagh, and the daily Mass and Wednesday meditation will continue.

Similarly, the Orlagh team will prepare and present a programme month by month up to the time when Orlagh is put on the market.

Details of this programme will be posted on Orlagh’s website.
