Courtney McGrailDr Andrew O’Connell, a columnist with The Irish Catholic, has been named as a First Place winner in the 2015 Catholic Press Awards in the United States for his contribution to the Best Regular Column on the Spiritual Life.
Dr O’Connell’s contribution was a reflection on the canonisations of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II and the need for unity in the post-Conciliar Church.
The winning column appeared in Horizon, the quarterly journal of the National Religious Vocations Conference (NRVC). Dr O’Connell serves on its editorial board in Chicago.
Dr O’Connell is Communications Director for the Presentation Brothers and a well-known speaker around the country.
