A limited-edition box set commemorating the life and work of football club Celtic FC’s founder Marist Brother Walfrid has been produced.
The box set, which was created by Scottish print finisher ACA, is limited to 1,888 which symbolises the year that Celtic FC played its first match.
It includes an A3-sized depiction of Bro. Walfrid as well as a 60-minute documentary directed by British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award-winner Paul Hineman. The box’s cover features the presentation metallic gold printing onto black, giving a bronzed impression.
Bro. Walfrid was part of the Marist Brothers Teaching Order and moved to Scotland in the 1870’s to teach at St. Mary’s School and Sacred Heart School. While serving as Sacred Heart’s headmaster, he founded Celtic FC as a way to help fund his feeding of hungry children in the Glasgow community.
