(CNS photo/Cillian Kelly) Dublin archdiocese yesterday launched the ‘Families walking together in hope’ initiative, which provides “simple” and “achievable” ideas for families and parishes in support of the Faith in the home and parish.
“The ‘family of families’ (parish) will be encouraged to reconnect the ‘holy’ to the home by suggesting rituals of faith in the home with parish rituals,” the initiative’s description reads.
The goal of the initiative is to “celebrate moments of hope and joy in family life”, and will provide resources that are suitable for “learning, living, and leading faith” that are complementary to the way families live today.
An example of the activities families are invited to take part in is “connecting the kitchen table to the Eucharistic table,” in an attempt to bring faith further into the home.
