A long-time resident of the Dublin suburb of Marino recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Olive Mary Bradley, who was born on May 21, 1914, has lived all her life in the Marino area, a part of Dublin forever associated with St Vincent’s GAA club.
While Olive never married the amount of friends who turned out to celebrate her birthday in the community room of the parish church in Marino reflected the involvement and the esteem she is held in.
While now living in Beneavin Lodge Nursing Home, Olive came to Marino to celebrate her big day by attending Mass where the congregation joined in singing her favourite hymn Bring Flowers of the Fairest.
Afterwards in the community room she joined again with her friends and neighbours in a sing song at her party.
