Elphin prepares for second pilgrim walk to Knock

St Patrick’s Church, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon will be a lively spot in the early hours of Saturday, September 26 as pilgrim walkers from all parts of the Elphin diocese gather to begin their 20 mile walk to Ireland’s National Shrine in Knock.

This is Elphin diocese’s second time to make this pilgrim walk,  once again to coincide with the National Eucharistic Congress in Knock (www.nec2015.ie).

Refreshments will be available in Campbell’s Pub, Ballinlough and St Patrick’s Parochial Hall, Ballyhaunis, and a series of measures, under the guidance of Roscommon Civil Defence, are also being taken to support the health and safety of all participants.
