Golf star Zach Johnson has credited God for his talent after winning the prestigious British Open this year.
Speaking after his win at St Andrews at the 144th British Open, the US golfer said God had “blessed” him with the talent to play the game.
“I feel like God gave me the ability to play a game.
“I’m just a guy from Iowa that has been blessed with a talent, and this game provides great opportunity,” he said.
Speaking of his win, Mr Johnson said he didn’t “want to make it any bigger than what it should be”.
“This isn’t going to define me or my career, at least I hope it doesn’t. It’s not my legacy. I’m humbled by this but my legacy should be my kids, my family,” he said.
