Rugby star reveals his faith in God

Former Irish rugby star Ronan O’Gara has revealed his faith in God and given thanks for his successful sporting career.

The Munster legend is now an assistant coach at Racing Metro in Paris, where he is kicking coach to Johnny Sexton – his successor as Ireland’s first-choice No 10.

He is also the subject of the documentary ROG  – The Ronan O’Gara Documentary which aired on RTÉ One last week.

During the documentary, O’Gara said he wanted his career to be remembered positively.

“I’m the luckiest, proudest young Cork boy that has worn a green jersey. I have such positive memories,” he said.

The Cork native also said he was extremely grateful for his career. “That’s what I thank God for, I believe there is definitely someone looking after me in that regard,” he revealed.
