Rosary for borders event to preserve Faith and protect unborn

Irish Faithful are being asked to pray for the preservation of the Faith and the protection of life at all stages along Ireland’s coastline, in an event that mirrors other international demonstrations.

‘Rosary on the Coasts for Life and Faith’ is similar to ‘Rosary at the Borders’ which was an event held in Poland which saw about 1 million people travel to their border to pray for the protection of the unborn and the Faith on October 1.

Organisers say: “Our Island is in the midst of a catastrophic loss of Catholic Faith especially among the youth. Ireland, North and South, are facing an immediate and terrible threat to the protection of our babies before birth.”

The event will be held on Sunday November 26, on the Feast of Christ the King. The prayer begins at 2.30pm.

Bishops, priests, deacons and lay faithful are asked to take part and select locations along the coast which they are prepared to travel to. “So if you can come to the coast and pray the prayers of the ‘Rosary on the Coasts for Life and Faith’ programme with one or two people, tell us where you will be going and we will spread the word,” said organisers.
