Irishwoman addresses Pope on vocation of grandparents

Catherine Wiley, the founder of the Catholic Grandparents Association (CGA), and her grandson Tom met Pope Francis at an event for grandparents in St Peter's Square last Sunday during the first international day dedicated to old age, organised by the Pontifical Council for the Family. Mrs Wiley was to chosen to offer a testimony to the Pope on the vocation of grandparents worldwide in keeping prayer at the heart of the family and in passing on the Faith.
