Katy Perry may get her convent after all

A postman delivers mail to the former Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary convent in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles. Los Angeles County Superior Court James Chalfant has ruled that the contested sale of the former convent to restaurateur and urban developer Dana Hollister is invalid.

Pop singer Katy Perry had offered to purchase the property, built in the style of a Roman villa, for $14.5 million before Ms Hollister’s offer was accepted. However, the court decision now puts the property back on the market after the Archdiocese of Los Angeles argued that the developer took advantage of the nuns.
