Knock to host national crusade of prayer

The National Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration is launching a ‘National Crusade of Prayer’ which will see 50,000 adults and 500 children nationally praying each week in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

The initiative will be launched by Bishop Kevin Doran at a Year of Mercy pilgrimage to Knock Shrine next month, at which parishes across Ireland will be invited to pray for 12 months for three intentions: more vocations to the priesthood, for those discerning a vocation to the priesthood and priests and their ministry.

“We hope that many vocation directors and people from St Joseph’s Young Priests Society as well as people from other apostolates, will join us in Knock and take home some prayer cards so that many more people will be offered an opportunity in their own parishes to join us each week in prayer,” said John Howard, from the Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration.

The pilgrimage to Knock Shrine is on Sunday, April 24. For more information see www.eucharisticadoration.ie or contact or 01-6625899/087-2478519.
