Mags GarganCatholic Schools Week 2014
Catholic Schools Week 2014 was celebrated in St Mary’s University College Belfast at an event to mark the 20th issue of Le Chéile, a Catholic school ethos journal.
Bishop Donal McKeown was joined by teachers and pupils from four local schools: St Kevin’s Primary School, St Paul’s Primary School, St Dominic’s Grammar School and Corpus Christi College.
Guests were entertained by performances from each school and heard from Dominic Donnelly, principal of St Joseph’s Primary and Nursery School in Carryduff, on the theme of school leaders and Catholic ethos.
St Mary’s University College principal, Professor Peter Finn, commended the management team of Le Chéile, which was first produced in 2004, and paid a special tribute to the work of its editor, Rev. Dr Niall Coll.
