Mags Gargan10th ecumenical ‘Day of Friendship and Prayer’ on Lough Derg
Rev. John Dunlop, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, will join with the new Prior of Lough Derg, Fr Owen J McEneaney in unique circumstances which sees both men mark Ash Wednesday on Lough Derg for the first time.
This is the 10th ecumenical ‘Day of Friendship and Prayer’ on Lough Derg and the new prior, Fr Owen J McEneaney said he is honoured to have the privilege to begin his first season on the island “in union with my Christian brothers and sisters”. “Ash Wednesday is an opportunity for us to experience our togetherness in Christ as a community of believers, and alongside Rev. John Dunlop we extend an invitation to all of you to come and experience the rich benefits of this day of friendship and prayer.”
