Mass a must for GAA champion hopefuls

A small parish in Co. Kildare has agreed to shift its Sunday Mass this week back by one hour to allow its junior GAA team the chance to participate ahead of its All Ireland appearance at Croke Park. On February 9 Two Mile House will aim to build on county and provincial wins when they face Fuerty of Roscommon. However, with all team members eager to attend Mass, Fr Paul Dempsey has agreed to host Mass at 10am, giving the players’ bus (and the convoy which will follow) ample time to make the journey to Croker.

Fr Dempsey, who will join the fans in Dublin for the final told The Irish Catholic: “No club from Kildare has ever reached a club final, so this is a unique event. It’s a fantastic time for the community of Two Mile House.”
