Over 1,000 young people will descend on Kildare this weekend to celebrate one of Ireland’s biggest faith festivals.
The Youth 2000 Summer festival – taking place in Clongowes Wood College from August 18-22 – will see young people gather to celebrate their Faith in a fun and vibrant way.
“It’s the biggest, most exciting youth event of the year. It’s a festival of faith, a festival of fun, and a festival of friendship,” a national-co-ordinator for event told this newspaper.
He added that the location was chosen to accommodate the growing number of people attending the event each year.
Speaking about the importance of events which promote the Faith, he said: “They’re not just important, they’re massively important because we all need to experience our faith in its fullness and we all need to grow in the friendships that we have and this is a brilliant opportunity to do both.”
