Parishes asked to take part in Global Rosary Relay

A day of prayer

On June 27, also known as World Priest Day, 85 shrines in 46 different countries will be participating in the Annual Global Rosary Relay for Priests, including two of Ireland’s own shrines. According to the organisers the goal of the relay is to “dedicate a 24 hour period of continuous prayer for the ministry of the priesthood”.

If you would like to participate within Ireland there will be a gathering at 2.45pm at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Knock and another one at 8pm at Our Lady’s Island in Wexford. No registration is required, and those who cannot attend physically are encouraged to attend spiritually.

Pope Francis has bestowed an Apostolic Blessing upon the event, and coordinators are hoping for a “massive” turnout.
