Transition Year students of Le Chéile Secondary School, Dublin have been performing a tribute to the famous rock band Queen this week with a show entitled ‘We Will Rock You’.
This is the first ever musical staged at the four-year-old Catholic secondary school set up by the Le Chéile Trust, which includes live performances of popular Queen songs.
The show takes place approximately three hundred years into the future where all live music has been outlawed by a tyrannical company known as ‘Global Soft’, which only allows digital music to be produced. In rebellion, a group of teenagers called the ‘Bohemians’ attempt to rediscover the music of the past, creating a friction between the two parties.
The performance takes place this week from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26.
