Internationally acclaimed spiritual singer and author Nóirín Ní Riain is to lead two spiritual retreats at the renowned Benedictine monastery Glenstal Abbey in Co. Limerick.

The songstress, who holds a PhD in Theology, told The Irish Catholic the retreats are an opportunity to “chill out” in a “very spiritual and special place”.

The first, which will be held on the feast of the Assumption, Saturday, August 15, will explore the topic of death and retreatants “will take time to consider and nurture” their own perspective on life and death “in the light of Mary’s powerful example”.

The second day, which will be held on feast of the Holy Name of Mary, Saturday, September 12, will “celebrate not only the sacred names” of Jesus and Mary but the retreatants “own names too”.

The cost of a retreat is €85. For more information email theosonynoirin@gmail.com or phone 086 8137040.
