A number of religious leaders, including Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin, held a conference call with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to discuss the Covid-19 emergency on the Wednesday of Holy Week.
Mr Varadkar sought their views into how we can care for our communities and our most vulnerable at this time.
He thanked those in religious life for their contribution throughout the emergency so far, and all they have done to support people and communities, especially those who have lost loved ones.
In a tweet after the call, Mr Varadkar said: “It was a real privilege to talk to religious and spiritual leaders today and thank them their contribution during this Emergency.”
