Since 1889, Hayes & Finch have been manufacturing and supplying the finest quality products to churches in every corner of Ireland.
In 1943, the Second World War forced the company to regrettably put their Dublin factory into mothballs due to world shortage of raw materials required to maintain production.
The company was anxious to regain a presence in Ireland and by 1952 they had re-established their connection and opened a sales office and warehouse enabling continuity of supply to the loyal customer base they had developed in years previous.
Over the years the business developed with the support of several different employees. However, for the last 35 years, until December 2015 the office prospered under the management of local Dublin man Robert Timmons. Robert became known to most of the clergy in Ireland as the reliable supplier of Church requisites, someone who would always go the extra mile to accommodate his customers ensuring they always had whatever they needed whenever they needed it.
Friendships
Robert was supported in his role by his wife Colette, who joined Hayes & Finch in 2003 to act as office administrator and right hand woman to Robert. The team worked tirelessly to grow the business and gaining both professional and personal friendships with their customers throughout Ireland. By December 2015 both Robert and Colette retired to enjoy well-earned leisure time.
Hayes & Finch thank both Robert and Colette for their service to the company and wish them a well-deserved, very long and healthy retirement.
Despite the retirement of the well-known couple, Hayes & Finch stress it is business as usual as they continue to supply everything that a church could ever want or need. From candles to cottas, chalice to chairs and cassocks to crosses, all manufactured in their own factory.
The newcomer to the company and new face of Hayes & Finch in Ireland is Darragh Murtagh, from Co. Meath.
Darragh is taking the time to travel around Ireland and personally meet Hayes & Finch customers putting faces to names and understanding the needs of each individual church to give continuity to the service levels the company has become renowned for.
Darragh can be contacted on his mobile on 086-7818714 or by email on darraghmurtagh@hfltd.com
