A Twitter account associated with TG4 was found to have violated Twitter guidelines with a video of social media personality James Kavanagh doing a skit of Catholic ceremonies.

BLOC TG4 posted a video which saw Mr Kavanagh performing an ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) rendition of the Our Father, as he sat with a crucifix and other Catholic ornamentation.

Many social media users took issue with the video, with encouragement to get in touch with TG4 being shared in the comments beneath the post on Facebook, which hasn’t been removed.

Following reporting of the content on Twitter however, the social media giant found that the account violated the Twitter rules with the post.

Despite repeated requests to secure a comment from TG4, none was forthcoming by the time this paper went to print.
