The Vatican Media Centre has opened to accommodate the thousands of journalists flocking to Rome both for the Easter celebrations at the Vatican and the dual canonisations of Popes John Paul II and John XXIII.
Located in the Pope Paul VI Hall, the centre will coordinate the work of journalists across print, television and radio. Vatican Radio will take responsibility for the radio section in collaboration with the European Broadcasting Union. Workstations, studios and commentary booths have been equipped. Having officially opened on April 10, the centre will operate fully until April 30.
