Voting on same-sex marriage

Dear Editor, Next spring Irish voters will be asked in this Government’s referendum to legalise same-sex marriage – marketed as ‘marriage-equality’. For Irish society and for future Irish generations this means men marrying men and women marrying women, with children being raised in same-sex marriage unions. Irish voters of all faiths and none need to consider whether or not same-sex marriage and adoption is something which you want to enshrine in Irish law, society and life as a cultural norm. Same-sex marriage represents a radical change in Irish marriage and society. Your vote will decide this issue for future Irish generations.

Yours etc.,

Oliver Maher,

Dublin 6W.
